Porto Heli, Argolida, Peloponnese

Argolida, Peloponnese

Porto Heli

Quiet, moneyed, and closer to Athens than you think.

The feeling

Discreet luxury. Nothing shouts. Sailing boats, pine shade, private beaches, dinners that stretch into the night without a crowd anywhere.

A sheltered bay of pine trees and yachts on the eastern Peloponnese, long favoured by Athenian families and increasingly by international hotels. Hydra and Spetses are a short boat ride away.

Best for

  • Luxury weddings with a low-key surface
  • Couples wanting islands nearby without living on one
  • Groups of 50–150
  • Sea-focused wedding weekends

Not ideal for

  • Couples looking for village authenticity
  • Tighter budgets
  • Guests who want a lively town at night

We'd rather you rule a place out here than three months from now.

Guest experience

What will guests actually do for three or four days?

  • Day trip by boat to Spetses or Hydra
  • Sailing and watersports in the bay
  • Private beach clubs
  • Tennis, spa and pool afternoons
  • Dinner in Kosta or on Spetses
  • Ancient Epidaurus within reach

Getting there

Athens (ATH) 2.5 hrs by road or ferry + transfer

About 2.5 hours from Athens by road, or a fast ferry plus short transfer. Helicopter and seaplane options exist for those who want them.

Where guests stay

A cluster of high-end resorts and a healthy villa market. Good depth for a large group, but with a higher entry price than elsewhere in the Peloponnese.

Budget positioning

Upper range. Comparable to Costa Navarino, with more villa flexibility and less all-in-one convenience.

Qualitative positioning only. We don't publish pricing we can't stand behind.

Wedding weekend

An example four-day shape

  1. Thursday

Arrivals, welcome dinner by the bay

  2. Friday

Boat day to Spetses, lunch on the island

  3. Saturday

Wedding at a seaside estate, party until late

  4. Sunday

    Beach-club farewell lunch

What makes it different

It combines island access, real luxury and a two-and-a-half-hour transfer from Athens — a rare combination in Greece.
